For this exhibition, Pintado did a historical and aesthetic research on romantic german artist Moritz Rugendas who, in the XIX century made a trip to Mexico and recorded in drawings the ways of his travel from the port of Veracruz to the valley of Mexico. Pintado 's interest lies in the comparison of the European Academic representative technique and the Mexican landscape. Two ways of looking that later in history became the formula for building mexican iconic national landscape. The European academy defining national identity. The series is composed by collages on original prints by Rugendas, paintings and sculptures. Presented at Arroniz Gallery, Mexico City 2010.
